I am deeply convinced that any form of real progress, enlightenment and sincerity in life can only be attained – or actually, continuously sought – through a state of constant questioning and doubting as well as through the immersion of oneself in the vulnerable, undefined, fragile, thin dimension between illusion and reality. There have only been two truths which I have been so absolutely convinced about since the day I remember myself and have never been able to question: my wish to make music that would open people’s hearts and my infinite love for animals which made it clear to me from a very early age that I could never possibly eat them nor indirectly collaborate with their suffering. So in homage to these two convictions, I would like to add a few quotes from individuals whose thoughts are much more worthy of these lines than my own and with which I strongly identity:

“I beg of you… never assume an inner or an outer pose, never a disguise.”
- Gustav Mahler

“I am hitting my head against the walls, but the walls are giving way.”
- Gustav Mahler

“If slaughterhouses had glass walls, everyone would be a vegetarian.”
- Paul McCartney

“While we ourselves are the living graves of murdered beasts, how can we expect any ideal conditions on this earth?”
- George Bernard Shaw

“Man is the only animal that can remain on friendly terms with the victims he intends to eat until he eats them.”
- Samuel Butler
